vincent-mark-sandridgeThe Foundation of Fresh Refrigerated Foods

At Sandridge Food Corporation, the recipe for success began to take shape in the 1960s when Vincent R. Sandridge set out to start his own fresh refrigerated food company in northern Ohio. Through much hard work and dedication the company launched a line of nine gourmet salads distributed to local delis, marking the establishment of Sandridge Food Corporation as it is known today.

A Generation of Growth Emerges

Second generation Mark D. Sandridge, an Ohio State University alumnus and now Chief Executive Officer, joined the family business in 1976. Michael S. Sandridge started in 1986 and is now the Senior Director of Foodservice Development. Their sister, Toni Sandridge, joined in 1990 and is the Manager of Transportation, MDS, Inc.

As the company grew throughout the years, so did its recipes. Sandridge's well-known "Grandma's" brand was established in 1991 after the purchase of Melch's Salad Company, known for its "Amish" brand. Today Sandridge produces more than 300 products for both the retail and foodservice industries.

The Future of Sandridge & the Fresh Foods Industry

The company now has more than 450 employees including its third generation of the Sandridge family active in the business. Jordan D. Sandridge, a graduate of Ohio State University, began his career with the company in 2004 and is the Warehouse Manager. His younger brother Dane V. Sandridge, Wittenberg University alumnus, joined the family business in 2008 and studied at the renowned Culinary Institute of America. Additionally, there are third-generation workers not related to the Sandridge family employed by the company.

Today, Sandridge Food Corporation is a recognized leader in the North American food industry, paving the way with superior products, advanced technology, ultimate food safety and unmatched customer service. The company remains a family-owned business with the entrepreneurial values that Vincent instilled still intact. It is with this goal of providing customers with highest-quality products and unparalleled service that Sandridge Food Corporation will continue to grow, prosper and fill the gaps for our customers.
